What is a Registered Certifier?

A Registered Certifier can issue a Construction Certificate, Complying Development Certificate and Occupation Certificates to certify that they are satisfied that a development meets the applicable legislative requirements. They can be also be appointed as the Principal Certifier for the development

The Principal Certifier is a Registered Certifier or Registered Body Corporate appointed prior to the commencement of any works to complete the Critical Stage Inspections and any other inspections required for a development. The PC is also responsible for issuing the Occupation Certificate at the completion of works once they are satisfied that relevant legislative requirements have been met.

A registered certifier is a public official and independent regulator, registered by the Commissioner for Fair Trading.
Certifiers must carry out work in a manner that is impartial and in the public interest, even if this is not in the interests of the applicant, developer, or builder.

Our company does not have set pricings. All prices are tailored for the individual client based on their individual needs. You can obtain a Quote through our website. In order to provide you with a quote we will require a copy of your DA or 10.7 Planning Certificate and the Architectural Plans.

Once a fee proposal is accepted an invoice will be provided. Payment is required prior to any further works being carried out.

Yes, due to conflict-of-interest SBAC cannot lodge your application whilst also being the certifier on the development.

The fees applicable via the NSW Planning Portal will vary depending on what is required.
